I haven't blogged for such a long time. Here's what's new:

I am pleased to announce that my work shown in the WAH Center in New York late last year and early this year in the two shows, 'Tri-Fold : New Perspectives on Book Art' and 'Special Choice Book Arts Part 1 & 2' have been bought for The Yuko Nii Foundation permanent collection.

OTHER NEWS

I'm busy getting work together for a show in Leeds that's in conjunction with with the Leeds International Artist Book Fair. The work that I proposed to make is very different from my usual work, but not dissimular in process, just in theme I think. It's about memories and lack of, family and nostalgia.

I have been making very small building blocks that represent my life. I have used old sketch books, photo albums, scrap books, diaries and school text books to make them from and I am planning on making an installation with them when I eventually make enough. And although it has been challenging the change has been refreshing.

I'm also busy getting work together for a show for the Bridewell in Liverpool that's going to be a joint exhibition with the course leader of the degree course I attended.

Metrospective Exhibition- The Fabric Of Life

My work is based on the human body and represents the miracle and essence of life. I’m interested in the internal and external arrangement of its form, especially patterns found within it, which have been the main inspiration to my work.

I have used second hand fabric to give my work a history of life and to convey my ideas into a soft sculptural installation. I aim to achieve a thought provoking experience for the viewer which is hopefully also enjoyable.
